Although I am officially back, technically I'm still a little strapped for time so I've put together a little compilation of some of my favourite music for you all to enjoy until my next post. You should know, I am a complete music/pop junky and I'm also completely shameless in my taste for music. I get a lot of flack for listening to some of the stuff I do, for instance, I think Hilary Duff's album, Dignity is a brilliant pop record but most disregard it because she's Lizzie McGuire. I tend to choose my music based on how it appeals to my ears, not what my people think is "cool". I don't have a limited iTunes library by any means though, it holds everything from om Waits to Paris Hilton to Eartha Kitt to MGMT to Shania Twain to Mozart.

After disappointing news mid last month from Riccardo Tisci announcing he won't be holding couture shows for Givenchy any longer, he seems more determined than ever to solidify his place with the couturier greats and in my opinion, he's doing that quite well. After opting out of a show, he instead held an intimate couture presentation to showcase all the fine details of each astounding piece and you can see why. This is Tisci at his best.

Louis Vuitton's fall 2010 campaign features "three of the most beautiful women in the world" according to Marc Jacobs, coincidentally none of whom walked in the show. A blonde, a brunette and a redhead, each of these iconically gorgeous women in a different decade of life, Natalia in her 20s, Karen in her 30s and Christy in her 40s (although she hasn't aged a minute since her rain as a 90s supermodel). This is the fourth Vuitton campaign to be shot by Steven Meisel and was done in a studio space in Manhattan, New York.

Now picture the likes of Paris or Lindsay falling off their neon 5-inch Louboutins, they'd slink away, embarrassed and shamed - Not Gaga. She picked her shit up and got on with it, never losing face, her cool or even her sunglasses.

Many brush Burberry aside due to their apparent repetitiveness season after season but I am and have been an avid admirer for quite some time. Trench coats are the heart and soul of Burberry, it's what the company was built since they dressed officers during the Second World War and it's sensible and if anything, respectful that the they've kept it that way.
This season the boys behind the label have ventured a little further out of the Burberry-norm than they usually dare to with lots of leather, most pieces embellished with studs and spikes. Although not entirely Spring-sensible, I love this collection - and the best part? It's all available to order on Burberry's website with delivery estimated to be six to eight weeks. Yes, that's right - you could be wearing Spring 2011 looks before Fall 2010 even hits the stores. Now all I need is a few thousand dollars.

Visually, Megan is my movie star... well her and Angelina Jolie, but I digress. This woman is beyond gorgeous as you can see, that's not up for debate but the appeal of her apparent verbal diarrhoea is a whole other story. But I personally find a potty mouth and verbal gumption a very endearing quality in a beautiful women and do they come more beautiful than Megan?
When it comes to this editorial I've fallen in love with Ms. Fox all over again. It's all very Steven Klein and a very nice departure from Megan's usual long wavy hair blowing in the wind, head tilted down and a sparkle in her eye with lips pouted. Now don't get me wrong, that works for her and let's face it, bed hair and a paper bag would hardly do her any injustice, the girl's a living doll.

I fell in love with Erin Fetherston upon seeing glimpses of her Fall 2008 collection on The Rachel Zoe Project. I did a lengthy post on her following Fall '09 collection which I immediately died for. Everything she does stays true to her and what she loves but every season she comes up with something new. This collection for Resort 2011 isn't necessarily ground-breaking but every look is pretty, wearable and chic without being too conservative or girly. Add some YSL heels and it's a killer.

The all new Apple iPhone 4.

It's no secret that I'm a diehard Apple fanatic but I have to admit, when that Asian dude managed to snatch an iPhone 4 from a bar and post pictures online for all the world (including Steve Jobs) to see, shortly before being arrested and having his apartment searched by police, I didn't like what I saw. The over all squareness of it made me think Samsung... Sony Ericsson and all those other names you never want to hear or see next to Apple.
Anyway, as per my annual tradition, I stayed up to the wee hours of the morning in order to get my Apple fix with everyone state-side. I don't know how the hell Steve does it but every time I have even the slightest amount of scepticism, he blows it to shit with the big Keynote reveal and this time round was no exception.
I want one, I really, really want one.

The fashion blogosphere has been a-buzzin' with excitement for this fair-browed beauty's sudden rise into public consciousness. All within a few months, Bambi's walked thirteen Australian Fashion Week shows including Ksubi (whose director, Dan Single, she's said to be dating) and Camilla & Marc, had spreads in Oyster and Grazia, featured on The Sartorialist and Style.com, shot a bunch of look books and landed a Harper's Bazaar cover.
I went to high school with Bambi or as I knew her, Stef. It was a well known fact then that she was an aspiring model and had been for a while so it's lovely to see her doing so well. The girl has her own thread on tFS and Tumblr micro-bloggers are losing their shit over her, she must be doing something right.

Lara Stone weds David Walliams.

After a whirlwind romance and engagement, Lara wed British comedian, David Walliams yesterday in London. The bride wore a $44,000 custom ivory Givenchy gown personally designed for her by Riccardo Tisci.
Afterwards, the newlyweds and their two hundred guests, including Lily Donaldson, Tom Ford, Mario Testino, Anouck Lepere and Jefferson Hack enjoyed a meal surrounded by $15,000 worth of white roses. The evening reception was apparently dry at the request of Stone, a recovering alcoholic who changed into a custom gold Givenchy minidress (above) for the festivities - toasts were made with popcorn in in lieu of champagne.
The two are honeymooning in Paris.

This past well the Costume Institute held their annual Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
Known as "the Oscars of fashion", the Met Gala lets stars and stylists break free of the constraints of small minded, middle-American fashion taste and make a big splash with the latest in avantgarde couture. The blogosphere has been a buzz the last few years with fears the after the sudden economic downturn, the annual ball is losing it's charm with red carpet goers and designers opting for less extravagant looks. It seems minimalism has stormed the fashion world this season and according to Yigal Azrouël, that's just what women are looking for, "Less is more these days, people are tired of all the froufrou and are just craving simplicity.”
So let's get started, shall we?

The Zoe Team are to thank for this gorgeous look. Annie has become such a wonderful style star in the last few years thanks to Rachel Zoe. This look is just a fairytale, I can't think of any other way to describe it.

Chlöe has been getting a lot of hate for this look but I love it. The girl is known to think outside the box and so do Proenza Schouler so it seems to me this is a match made in heaven.

Diane Kruger in Calvin Klein.
Diane is one of the most stylish women out there at the moment. She's gorgeous, has a body built for sin and every major designer is dying to dress her. This time around, Calvin Klein has won and thank God they did because no one else could do this gorgeous dress justice. Simple hair, simple makeup, bare accessories and some serious arm candy, Diane is by far one of my favourites of the night.

Another Team Zoe success here with the always gorgeous Eva Mendes in this wonderful floral concoction. This is old Hollywood glamour at it's best.

This woman had a baby four months ago. That's all I'm going to say.

Jamie Bochert in Rodarte for Gap.
Although I'm not a fan of Jamie as a model, she seems to be doing very well for herself and I love this look. Who knew Rodarte on a budget would be so lovely!

Kate Bosworth in Valentino Couture.
Kate always looks gorgeous thanks to her very talented stylist, Cher Coulter and this year's Gala was no exception.

Marion Cotillard in Christian Dior.
I fell in love with Marion after seeing her play the tortured wife of Guido Contini in Nine earlier this year. She's the epitome of Parisian beauty and style and definitely seems to have the hookup at Dior. She looks like she's been dipped and draped in millions of diamonds.

M.I.A. in Alexander Wang for Gap.
I foolishly missed this mind-blowing look on M.I.A. but thanks to my lovely reader, Michelle, the situation has been rectified. Although I'm not loving the shoes, this dress looks like a very fashionable web spun in gold by a very talented spider. And the metallic gold nails and leather underlay... come on! Amazing.

Naomi Watts in Stella McCartney.
Although Naomi has fallen off my radar in recent years, she always manages to jump right back in with a fashion splash. Here she is with her husband and looking gorgeous in a fuchsia Stella look.

Charlotte Gainsbourg in Balenciaga.
As the face of Balenciaga's latest fragrance and muse and arm candy of Nicolas Ghesquiere, Charlotte is always one to showcase his latest creations. Although this look won't win many fans, I am in love. The simple design, strong shoulders, vibrant fabric and outrageous heels make for some unusual gorgeousness.

It definitely pays to be best friends with Marc Jacobs, an influential fashionista (I hate that word) and one of the most in demand celebrity stylists in the world. As a Creative Advisor for Halston, Sarah Jessica naturally turned up in this gorgeous metallic plissé two-tier silk maxi dress looking all kinds of lovely as usual. No one does press like SJP and with Sex and the City 2 just around the corner, she's been everywhere and I'm glad she is.

The always stunning Sienna and Jude Law made their couples debut at this year's Met Gala after a long separation from each other following Jude being caught having his way with the nanny. Can you think of a more gorgeous couple?

Stella always seem to manage dressing at least two stars for the Met Gala each year. This year she roped in Liv and Kate all in Stella's designs. I'm not in love with any of the looks but I do think Liv looks lovely.

Zoe along with Diane Kruger made a statement in simple and chic Calvin Klein look. Not too much to say here, just look!

Gaga in Prada.
Although Gaga skipped the arrivals (which many, including me were extremely disappointed about), she did perform for all attendees and according to guests was a hit with even Anna Wintour herself commenting on her like for the performer. Hopefully next year we'll see some Gaga craziness on the red carpet.

I know this post is disgusting late and long but there it is. I'm already hanging out for next year.

This editorial has been making its rounds in fashion cyberspace for a few months now. I saw one or two pictures here and there a while back not paying much attention but rediscovered them wondering the threads of tFS and fell in love. Besides the fact that Abbey Lee has swiftly become one of my favourite models, the styling is phenomenal and it just exudes this unusual quality that I cannot seem to put my finger on. Either way, I wish it just went on forever.

This fifteen-thousand square foot masterpiece on 3.5 acres in Montecito, California was designed by the brilliant Steve Hermann and dubbed "The Glass Pavilion".
One of the things I'm looking forward to most in life is owning property. As a young child and through my early teens I would go to open houses all over Melbourne and critique and admire all the houses beheld. As soon as I had any control over my surroundings I was rearranging my bedroom, painting in feature walls, raiding Ikea and spending all my savings on bedlinen. My love doesn't so much lie in interiors or architecture but in design. I appreciate and live for beauty in all forms; homes, faces, objects, personalities and everything in between. This house embodies modernistic, simple, enveloping splendour and I want to lick every square inch of it.

Unless you've lived under a rock for the past three decades, I'm sure you've been treated to some Madonna. Whether it be a song, performance, film or one of her many iconic photographs, you can't deny she makes an impression and who else do you know who can manage to stay relevant for thirty years!
In recent times I've become more and more interested in this phenomenal woman. I can't take credit for that though, I thank my best friend at the time (a true Madonna obsessive) for my inception into Madonna-ism.
So after a string of uncomplimentary surgical... um, enhancements?, Madonna seems to have rectified the situation and is back in this month's issue of Interview looks better than ever.

As of late, Olivia Palermo has become the tFS thread I've been heading to almost daily. As most of you would know, Olivia a New York 'social' and stars on MTV's The City with Whitney Port.
But that's not the interesting part, that lies with her style. She's always seen running around the streets of New York City with her signature soft chocolate curls, never-less-than-six-inch statement heels and Birkin swinging on arm. Her style is kind of like a bolder Victoria Beckham and trust me, this is the first of many Olivia posts to come.

This past Monday I waved goodbye to my teens and started my 20s... with not much of a bang but with some good friends and some lovely goodies (above). I'm not usually one to enjoy birthdays but this year was far better than recent years despite the fact that I was in the middle of a head cold which rendered the nose useless.
Anyway, here's hopin' my 20s go more smoothly than my teens!

The woman is a legend in fashion and that's not debatable. Despite her "issues", lover mishaps, sudden deterioration inoto haggardness among other things, the girl knows how to hit a great angle and give some good face. I've said it for a long time as I'm sure many others have too, Kate is this generations Brigitte Bardot (at least in terms of looks). I love this editorial.

My latest discovery is Marina & the Diamonds. I've been listening to her album non-stop for a few weeks now and I cannot get enough. Don't be deceived, Marina & the Diamonds is not a band, it's one girl; Marina Diamandis. She's young, British, musically ambitious and drop-dead gorgeous.
